Sometimes, a brief on paper looks too exciting, in this case it was about launching region’s first accredited college focused on fashion aptly called College of Fashion & Design.

With challenges come opportunities, for us it was the communication style based on calligraphy for the brand literature. Not only it looked distinct, it also led us on to getting shortlisted for Dubai Lynx in the Calligraphy category.

The Challenge

The primary challenge was launching the brand without a completed building.  We needed to create a compelling brand identity and communication strategy that resonated with the target audience while estanblishing the college as a pioneer in fashion education.

The Solution

Praxis developed a unique communication style inspired by calligraphy:

  • Distinct Brand Identity: Crafted a visual language that combined traditional calligraphy with modern aesthetics, perfectly aligning with the fashion-forward nature of the college.
  • Comprehensive Communication Kit: Designed all brand literature, including brochures, stationery, and promotional materials, reflecting the creative and elegant ethos of the institution.
  • Innovative Approach: The calligraphy-based style not only stood out but also highlighted the synergy between art, fashion, and education.

The Impact

The branding was widely celebrated and led to the project being shortlisted for Dubai Lynx in the Calligraphy category. The distinct communication style successfully positioned the College of Fashion & Design as a trendsetter in fashion education, generating buzz and establishing credibility even before the building’s completion.
