Wellington Academy Silicon Oasis: Pathways to the Future

The Brief

GEMS Wellington Academy, Silicon Oasis engaged Praxis to transform key learning environments across the campus, with a focus on creating age-appropriate, experience-led spaces.

The scope included the Primary and Secondary Receptions, Nursery, Post-16 areas, and most recently in 2025, the branding of the first GEMS Early Childhood Learning Center.

The objective was to ensure continuity of identity while allowing each space to speak meaningfully to its audience.

The Spaces

Primary & Secondary Reception Areas
As strong first touch points for two distinct age groups, our clear visual language, confident branding and intuitive layouts set expectations while reinforcingWellington’s academic ethos and sense of belonging.

Nursery
We created a warm, nurturing environment. Design elements focused on softness, play and reassurance, ensuring young learners would feel safe, welcomed and excited about school from the very beginning.

Post-16 Areas
As mature, aspirational environments that reflect independence and readiness for future pathways, our design supports focus, conversation and ambition, creating a clear distinction from the lower school experience while maintaining brand continuity.

GEMS Early Childhood Learning Center
Completed in 2025, this project marked the first Early Childhood Learning Center within the GEMS Education network. Praxis worked closely with the GEMS team to brand the space in line with the Center’s philosophy of nurturing learners from day one.

The environment was designed to support holistic early development. Visual storytelling, child-centric design and gentle educational cues create a space that reassures parents while inspiring curiosity, confidence and joy in young learners.

Designing with Intent

Praxis approached the project with a clear philosophy: Each stage of learning deserves its own voice, tone and environment, while still belonging to a cohesive school narrative.

Across all spaces, the focus remained consistent:

  • age-appropriate design language
  • emotional and educational relevance
  • clarity of navigation and experience
  • alignment with Wellington and GEMS values

Each environment was crafted to support not just how students learn, but how they feel.
